Why practices step up to four wavelengths

Most Class 4 lasers concentrate their output in one or two infrared wavelengths. That works well until the caseload widens. The EVO Q27 spreads 27 watts of combined infrared across three wavelengths, 9 watts each at 810 nm, 915 nm, and 980 nm, then adds a 300 mW 650 nm visible red diode for surface level work. The result is one console that can reach skin, nerve endings, circulation, and deep structural tissue without a second device.

What each wavelength actually does

810 nm penetrates deep and supports mitochondrial activation and ATP production, the machinery of cellular repair. 915 nm works through hemoglobin absorption to improve oxygen delivery, which earns its keep in dense tissue and circulation limited cases. 980 nm is absorbed strongly by water, so patients feel a mild warmth during the session while local circulation gets support. The 650 nm visible red covers the surface layer: skin recovery, nerve ending health, and scar remodeling.

Who this laser serves best

The Q27 fits practices whose schedule never looks the same two days in a row. If your caseload is mostly deep musculoskeletal work on people and you simply want short treatment times, the EVO D30m concentrates 30 watts of infrared into 810 nm and 980 nm and may serve you better. If you are starting out or work mostly on house calls, the 9 watt S9m handles routine pain and recovery work for a smaller investment. Choose the Q27 when broader wavelength coverage, circulation support, and animal versatility matter more than raw wattage.

Day to day in practice

The touchscreen keeps operation simple enough that any trained staff member can run consistent sessions. Preloaded protocols for humans, dogs, cats, and horses adjust for skin or coat color, pain level, tissue depth, and treatment location. CW and pulsed modes cover acute, chronic, and performance cases. Run it from a wall outlet, or add the optional external battery for up to 40 minutes of cordless treatment where outlets are scarce.
